Thermal shock
Heat to 1000 degree celcius for 5 minutes. Quench by pouring into cold water. Dry; percentages through 20 mesh (ASTM) and 30 mesh (ASTM) are determined. These sizes should not increase by more than 1.5% as determined by sieve analysis before and after treatment.
